Stars’ bodyguards get famous

Gone are the days when a famous star’s bodyguard used to be just a shadow behind their master protecting them from giddy girls trying to steal a hug or a kiss, or men getting naughty with them.
But as Bob Dylan said, times they are a changing, and with the paparazzi hounding stars constantly, it’s these bodyguards who are in fact are in constant camera glare.And by which they have gained their own bit of fame. Like HBG aka ‘Hottie Bodyguard’ – Hollywood babe Kristen Stewart’s big guy. Kristen, who has been very vocal about being scared of all “Twilight” obsessed fans, hired HBG to protect her, but lil’ did she know that he’d need some protection himself! In an interview, Kristen said, “JB is his name – that’s my guy… Even he has a goddamn fan site. All these girls have identified him and now he’s known as ‘HBG’ – Hottie Bodyguard.”
Closer home, there’s the famous Shera. Say his name, and everyone would inform you that he is the indomitable shadow behind Salman Khan. Shera, who “can give his life” for his master, has been guarding Sallu for 15 years. He too got his share of fame when during the promotions of “Bodyguard”, Sallu asked him to release the first look of the movie as a tribute to the “real bodyguard.”
Fans would say that bodyguards have the best job in the world. Recently, Rihanna’s protector “accidentally” cupped her breasts in a bid to protect her, leading to online forums going on about him being in the “bestest job ever”. Apart from having physically close access to stars, these guys also have exclusive dirty secrets in their pockets too. In the recent past, spilling dirty secrets in public has become somewhat of a fad. Like Angelina Jolie’s bodyguard Mickey Brett who is writing a tell-all book about the star, which is expected to be a hit.
And then there is Fernando Flores, who talked about his hurt to various tabloids about how popstar Britney Spears sexually harassed him! Now, coming from a guy who’s supposed to take care of others, it’s easy to say he was bad at his own job, right? Maybe, after all, it is the bestest job in the world, given the easy steps leading to those precious 15-minutes of fame.
